When disposed of through incineration, the products do not produce CO₂ volumes significant enough to contribute to global warming. Compared with standard plastic hairbrushes, which weigh 14 grams (0.49 ounces) each, these Rice-grain Hairbrushes use less raw material and have thus been reduced to a weight of 8.4 grams (0.30 ounces).
